I originally wrote this for the officer forum, but I felt the need to express my feelings, thoughts, and intention.

In light of the recent departures, I felt the need to send a message to my fellow guild members. I'm here for the long haul. I've been playing WoW since open beta, and only once did I find a guild at first partial at home with. Throughout the years, I've become tired of poor leadership, festering guild drama, and dragging people needlessly through raids. I've always wanted to start my own guild up before, but lack of funds, time, and a group of people willing to give it a try always prevented any since happening.

I'm really proud of where Signify has come. We didn't break off of an established raiding guild or transfer from around server to own it up. We took what we had, swallowed it up, and built out guild from the ground up. We've gone from PUGing for Naxx 10 to having ToC 25 on farm status. There were many times in the past where I thought the guild was going to falter, but we endured it and managed (sadly enough) to become competitive with the other top raiding horde-side guilds, and we have to deal with the fact we're a niche guild. The pool of players able to make our raid times consistently is much smaller than daytime running guilds.

Everyone guild is going to have bumps along the road. Some are potholes, others mere distractions along the way. The important thing is that we handle them swiftly and in the most efficient way possible. We're going to meet a lot of bad apples. It's the internetz after all and many people are seeking the lulz. Those people never stay in the guild long, though. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make this guild work. Whether it's healing even when I'm so sicked of it from 3 years of healing to whatever is needed. I want to make my dream guild a reality, and I want people alongside me who share the same common goal: raiding to have fun, build a community, and leave the BS all behind.
